Good things about the college

The good things about the College stems from its supportive faculty and helpful peers. The people are nice here and the classes are conducted properly.

Bad things about your law college

As a non NLU college, there is certainly the issue of the fact that our Alumni lose the edge over NLU Graduates, plus with the fact that our University is having B+ accreditation, any credit of our Alumni is not considered. 

Another problem is the administration, it’s not very cooperative or accommodating with the students, there are many administrative faults that need to be addressed. For us legal students, there is also the fact that there seems to be a serious lack of practical exposure that is very crucial in our academic career.

Your experience in your college

My experience so far has been fun, of-course there are typical college dramas, but so far it has been a very amazing journey. I have made friends and I have learned how to balance life and multitask.

There have been multiple changes in my life, I have learned much more professionalism and I have learnt to be more collaborative, my confidence has increased and I feel so much ready for the next stages of my future.

Faculty at your college

Faculty of our college is composed of competent individuals who are very good at their jobs. There are of-course some who do not do their job properly and choose to sideline the teaching they need to do in their classes. However still, most of the faculty is very supportive and understanding.

If you have genuine reasons, they are willing to extend deadlines of assignments, if you have any trouble regarding the curriculum. They are willing to help you out. Most of the classes are conducted properly and regularly as well, which makes it easier for students to understand the course material.

Infrastructure of your college

Our college has an average infrastructure. Our departmental library is well equipped with books, however the central library of our university has very few books related to law. The rest of University’s structure is similarly extremely average.

There good thing is certainly the number of trees around the Campus and the grasses, but there are certain areas near the hostels that are still under construction, so it is quite messy around those there.

Peers in your College

There are very supportive peers, people come from different backgrounds so everybody supports each other as best as they can. Law is supposed to be collaborative so having a good support system in form of friends or batchmates is incredible.

How are the placements in your college?

Our college lacks in placement. Due to the lack of accreditation, there is certainly lack of employers as well. The legal department feels especially ignored. There are decent placement numbers in other departments but barely for legal students.

How are the co-curricular activities in your college?

My university has multiple co-curricular activities that cover almost all of the aspects. There are multiple university clubs that are concerned with different activities, from singing or dancing to poetry and public speaking.

There are also multiple events that are conducted on university level as Inter-departmental competitions. For law students as well, there are Intra-moots, trial advocacy events and debates that are conducted by the department. Overall, the extra-curriculars are regular and enjoyable.
