About the Organizer
The Dr. Rohini Kanta Barua Law College was established in the year 1976 as an outcome of a public meeting of the citizens of Dibrugarh held on 20/06/1976 with Shri Pramode Kumar Das, B.L. in the chair as ‘Dibrugarh Law College’ with the objective ‘to create a new avenue at Dibrugarh for imparting legal education’.
The College is situated in the heart of Dibrugarh town and is permanently affiliated to Dibrugarh University and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. On 04/02/1994, the Dibrugarh Law College was renamed as Dr. Rohini Kanta Barua Law College’ as the late Muktalata Barua wife of Dr. Rohini Kanta Barua, a well-known name in scientific research of high order and academic excellence donated the land and building (present administrative wing) to the College to commemorate the illustrious name of her husband.
Since then, Dr. Rohini Kanta Barua Law College has not looked back and has developed the facilities for students one after another as per the requirement of the Bar Council of India. Dr. R.K.B. Law College offers a rich environment for studying law through the 3 year LL.B and BBALL.B programme, thus preparing students to enter the legal profession.
About the event
The Internal Committee in collaboration with the IQAC of Dr. R.K.B. Law College, Dibrugarh, Assam are jointly organizing the Awareness cum Counselling Session on Gender Sensitization on the occasion of Women’s’ Day on March 18, 2024. Considering the need of gender awareness in all fields of life and also the requirement of NAAC Criteria 7.1.1, for academic institutions, the IC and IQAC have initiated this session to promote gender awareness among the common masses.
Who can participate?
Anyone from any discipline and profession who wants to know about the concepts related to gender sensitization and the requirements NAAC Criteria 7.1.1.
Objective
- To generate awareness among the masses.
- To enhance the scope of counselling on issues related to gender sensitization.
- To achieve the academic requirements of NAAC Criteria 7.1.1.
