Porcelain granny's mission: Saving the stories hidden in clay

To her, porcelain is not a product – it’s a belief. She has been crafting it for over 50 years and is one of the few artisans in China’s Taiwan region still dedicated to the traditional black-glazed porcelain technique. Each handful of clay carries her quiet but unwavering sense of identity. She doesn’t use big words or fancy lines; she simply sits at her booth and says, “We’ve always been Chinese.” Somehow, that one sentence says it all.
