Snow sculpture masters gather in Harbin

The 26th China Harbin International Snow Sculpture Competition kicked off at the Sun Island Snow Expo, attracting 29 teams from 12 countries, including China, Russia, Canada, Spain, South Korea, India, and Mongolia. CGTN’s Yang Xinmeng interviewed Aleksei Sidorov, a Russian artist who has participated in the snow sculpture competition many times. They discussed the creative concept of his work “Tornado,” which is meant to call attention to global climate issues.
