About the Organiser

IFIM Law School, Bangalore affiliated with the Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), Hubbali and accredited by the Bar Council of India is one of the premier legal institutions in India. The Law School has been ranked 1st in the Category of Top Eminent Law School, 5th rank in the Southern region and 4th rank in the State of Karnataka in the GHRDC Survey 2023.

The Law School was established in 2014 and is a sister concern of the IFIM Group of Institutions. IFIM aims to impart quality legal education and offers BBA LL.B. (5 Years) and LL.B (3 Years).

About the Conference

The Centre for Environmental Law and Research has taken the initiative of organising the One Day National Conference on Environmental Legal Issues to bridge the gap between academia and the industry. The Centre aims to conduct the National Conference as an annual event; the current conference is its first edition.

This conference aims at creating awareness about various environmental issues and their impact on climate change. This conference aims to promote research and understand the nuances of the selected theme. The conference also aims to publish the selected papers in the form of an edited book.

Submission Guidelines

  • All submissions must be in Microsoft Word format and the submissions can be mailed to [email protected]
  • The subject for the mail should be – “National Conference, June 2024”.
  • Extended abstract (2500 words, excluding footnotes), brief profile of the author/s indicating his/her Name. email ID, contact number, designation, and official address.
  • Maximum number of co-authors allowed is one.
  • Multiple entries of the same author/s are not allowed.
  • Similarity shall not exceed 10%. Research papers with plagiarism above 10% will be rejected.
  • Format of text: Times New Roman with font size 12 and line spacing of 1.5 pt.
  • Citation Style: Bluebook 21st Edition.
  • Font size for footnotes: Times New Roman (10). The submission should contain a disclaimer to the effect that the research paper is original and has not been published or is under consideration, for publication, elsewhere.
  • Acceptance of the extended abstract will be subject to the report of the review team.
  • Organisers and the review team reserves the right to accept and reject the submissions at any stage of the review The copyright for all entries selected for publication in the edited book shall vest with the organisers.
