Tell us a few good things about your law college.

Campus allows us a lot of liberty plus it is a beautiful and green campus, secular in terms of religion, great faculty. The campus is further complimented by modern amenities like well-equipped lecture theatres. The experienced faculty ensures quality education, fostering a dynamic learning environment. 

Are there any bad things about your law college?

Occasional shortages in faculty, which can impact the breadth of academic offerings. Additionally, some students feel that the crowd might lack focus, potentially affecting the overall learning atmosphere. Addressing these issues could further enhance the program’s effectiveness and reputation.

How has your experience in your college been till now?

As a third-year law student at Jamia Hamdard New Delhi, my journey has been a blend of diverse experiences. While some expectations have been met, others have been a miss. Nonetheless, the institution has proven to be an excellent platform for both learning and networking. The Law department offers valuable insights for life ahead, and the campus environment facilitates meaningful connections.

How’s the faculty?

They are not only highly knowledgeable but also remarkably approachable and supportive, creating a conducive learning environment. Their cool and composed demeanor fosters open discussions, encouraging students to explore diverse perspectives while benefiting from their rich expertise.

How’s the infrastructure (except hostels)?

Hamdard boasts of modern infrastructure with AC-equipped lecture theatres facilitating interactive learning. However, certain challenges persist, like occasional classroom shortages. Washroom cleanliness remains inconsistent, and secure parking options for students are limited. Despite these drawbacks, the campus offers several amenities conducive to academic growth.

How’s your hostel experience?

I am not a hosteller, although the girls’ hostels offer comfortable options, both AC and non-AC. The quality of mess food is decent. The wardens are vigilant and prioritize security, ensuring a safe environment. Overall, the hostel facilities provide a satisfactory stay for students at Jamia Hamdard New Delhi.

How are your peers?

My peers are generally good and friendly. While there’s a presence of student politics, it’s not dominant. Like any institution, there are instances of power dynamics, but for the most part, everyone gets along well and creates a comfortable environment at Jamia Hamdard New Delhi.

How are the placements in your law college?

As a recently evolved law school, with the first batch graduating in June 2023, the placement scenario is promising. Although only three placements have been confirmed so far, the process is ongoing and holds potential for more opportunities to be secured by students at Jamia Hamdard New Delhi.

How are the co-curricular activities in your law college?

Our college excels in co-curricular activities, with a vibrant array of continuous fests, workshops, and events. These offerings enrich the overall learning experience, fostering skills beyond academics. The dynamic co-curricular calendar adds a vibrant dimension to student life at the law college.

What are some of the things you’d advise to a 1st-year student who enters your college?

For incoming first-year students at Jamia Hamdard New Delhi, I’d advise staying focused on studies, resisting distractions. Respect your teachers, collaborate with peers, and build a strong network. While exploring campus life, strike a balance between academics and extracurriculars to make the most of your college experience.
